The cost really depends on the brand u buy. Lowe is & Home Depot both offer installation if u buy the flooring from them. I believe Lowe is covers a bit more with their installation services than Home Depot does. Lowe is will cover removal of the old floor, any supplies needed to do the installation (underlayments, glue, etc.), & also clean up the site when they're done. I believe Home Depot only covers the work & clean-up, but not any of the supplies. Anyway, depending on the brand, the average engineered hardwood runs about $2-6 per square foot itself (as long as it is not special ordered), & then with either of those companies you'd have to factor in $3-4 per square foot for installation, & with Home Depot you'd have to factor in a little more for the installation supplies. I do not know of any contractors, but both home improvement stores claim to be less expensive. Also, I am sure the cypress would look fine (the knots would tie it all together). I love the look of light maple with dark colors myself. Hope this helps!
