A couple of years ago we put new vinyl flooring down in our kitchen.l had a rug in front of the sink and refrig.l planned on replacing the rugs, however where the rug was there is now a yellow spot.l do not really wanna replace the floor again or damage it with harse chemicals.Any suggestions?
Sorry to bear bad news but the rug was made out of a material that caused the vinyl to discolor as far as I know and I have tried everything from bleach to tsp nothing dulled or lightened the place in my daughters bathroom where the same thing happened. The vinyl guy that installed her floor told her to buy a new rug and put it over the discoloration. He told her its a chemical reaction and there is no fixing it.
Try wiping some paint thinner across it with a rag. I used to work in a mobile home plant and that is what we used.
