Carefully scrape it off with a plastic instrument after soaking the area with washing up liquid. Buy Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil & coat the floor with it when the whole floor is cleaned up.
My floors took me two months to finish - starting from dirty old blocks of reclaimed wood which I glued down, then sanded & finally coated with the hardwax oil...I real labour of love but I've ended up with beautiful flooring. I never understand people who put carpet down over parquet floors - do u ?

neat washing up liquid often removes gummy stuff. if that fails maybe vinegar would work? its a miracle cleaner so its worth a try

Lighter fluid works great. Just be sure to wipe it up with water afterwards
