i've just painted my room 'violet white' which is basically just white with a little bit of light purple for colour.
now for the floor!i'd prefer carpet as it is warmer than wooden flooring, but what colour would go well with the walls? bold or neutral? suggestions please!

what flooring should i go for

What about a nice thick rug?

wood flooring always looks stylish and a big area rug with hints of purple in it would look darling but if your heart is set on carpet maybe a really lightish cream burber? You can get remnants really cheap some places if your room is relativley small. Hope this helps!

I would go for neutral, bold colours can make it awkward if you ever want to redecorate. Go for a nice beige to warm up the room. Maybe add a rug that compliments the wall colour for extra cosiness!

My daughters room is Violet White. It has laminate at the moment (which we hate) but I am looking at getting her a deep pink carpet to contrast with the lilac. If you are older and may change your taste then i would go for a neutral beige. If you go for one with a fleck in it will not show up marks as much.

neutral will be best i think

bold if u are young and dont plan on living with it forever
Neutral if u want peaceful and calm parents

Neutral (in case you repaint some day) with a nice soft, cozy pile.
