i want hardwood flooring on main floor plus the stairs and carpet on upper floor only in bedrooms.

figuring the options above, plus whether u want real wood or a laminate
$5.00 to $12.00 per square foot for hardwood

You can go on a google search and pull up local carpentry stores near your area, most hardwood installation cost about a couple thousand dollars, depending on area, size, constructer, and type of flooring. Lowes or home depot might beat your local stores, try their websites and see what you come up with.
